My Newest Obsessions: Rude Boy

Now I'm not particularly a fan of the new "hard" Rihanna, i just think she's doing a bit too much to be considered edgy when she did it so will pre-beatdown, not she a bit of a overly couture mess. Her newest CD for me is a lack luster and bland album, but i do like this song. It's poppy and it as a hard sexual tone that gives it the edge it needs without announcing it to the world in a overly produced Young Jeezy endorsed wackfest. Plus for me to like a video to a song i like so much is a definite good sign. here's the video. i hope you enjoy

Icon: Whoopi Goldberg

A true comedy rebel Caryn Elaine Johnson redefined the role of a black Comedian and Actress with the unforgettable and iconic stage name Whoopi Goldberg. Not only a great comedian, but a exceptionally great dramatic actress winning an Academy Award, BAFTA Award, 7 NAACP Image Awards, 2 Daytime Emmy awards, 3 People's Choice awards and 2 Golden Globe awards for her acting range. In 1999, she received the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation Vanguard Award for her continued work in supporting the gay and lesbian community. In 2001, she won the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the Kennedy Center. She has also won a Tony and Grammy award and has appeared in over 150 films in the 1990's. Whoopi was the highest-paid actress of all time. Goldberg has also been an advocate for human rights worldwide, moderating a panel at the Alliance of Youth Movements Summit on how social networks can be used to fight violent extremism in 2008 and also moderating a panel at the UN in 2009 on human rights, children and armed conflict, terrorism, human rights and reconciliation. and and true American Treasure that should be honored as a maverick that is still today refusing to bow to any ones standards and showing you a way to live as you are and be happy with whom you are 100% of the time. She is a true inspiration and living legend.

The Death of an Icon: Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen was an English fashion designer known for his unconventional designs and shock tactics. McQueen's dramatic designs, worn by celebrities including Rihanna, Björk and Lady Gaga, met with critical acclaim and earned him the British Designer of the Year award four times. McQueen's early runway collections developed his reputation for controversy and shock tactics (earning the title "l'enfant terrible" and "the hooligan of English fashion"),with trousers aptly named "bumsters" and a collection entitled "Highland Rape".[1][14][15] McQueen was known for his lavish, unconventional, runway shows, such as a recreation of a shipwreck for his spring 2003 collection, spring 2005's human chess game and his fall 2006 show, "Widows of Culloden" which featured a life-sized hologram of supermodel Kate Moss dressed in yards of rippling fabric. McQueen has been credited with bringing drama and extravagance to the catwalk He used new technology and innovation to add a different twist to his shows and often shocked and surprised audiences. The silhouettes that he created have been credited for adding a sense of fantasy and rebellion to fashion. McQueen became one of the first designers to use Indian models in London.ome of McQueen's accomplishments included being one of the youngest designers to achieve the title "British Designer of the Year", which he won four times between 1996 and 2003. He was also awarded the CBE and named International Designer of the Year at the Council of Fashion Designer Awards. December 2000 saw a new partnership for McQueen, with the Gucci Group acquiring 51% of his company and McQueen serving as Creative Director. Plans for expansion included the opening of stores in London, Milan and New York, and the launch of his perfumes Kingdom and, most recently, My Queen. In 2005 McQueen collaborated with Puma to create a special line of trainers for the shoe brand. McQueen became the first designer to participate in MAC's promotion of cosmetic releases created by fashion designers. The collection, McQueen, was released on 11 October 2007 and reflected the looks used on the Autumn/Winter McQueen catwalk. The inspiration for the collection was the Elizabeth Taylor movie Cleopatra, and thus the models sported intense blue, green, and teal eyes with strong black liner extended Egyptian-style. McQueen handpicked the makeup.

McQueen's death was announced on the afternoon of 11 February 2010. He was found dead that morning by his housekeeper at his home on Green Street, London W1. Paramedics were called; they pronounced him dead at the scene.

Here are some of his best works and some of the people seen in is magnificently extravagant designs

My Newest Obsessions

I am so living for 3 music videos right now. First the is Jay-Z's "On To The Next One" which is just hot to me. It's not your typical hip-hop video and the images within the video is a swag that I'm just drawn to. Second is Robin Thicke's "Sex Therapy" which is the sexiest song out right now and the video doesn't fall flat to the song. Third is Usher's "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)" which is an effortlessly cool video with a story and dancing and a great song and here they are to watch. enjoy

W.T.F.: Beyonce in a Remake of "A Star Is Born"

I am so utterly disgusted in the shear audacity that is Beyonce's Ego. Okay music is her thing, i get that, but i really wish she'd stop acting. Everything she has been in should be a movie producers reason for not casting her, but they don't care if the movie is going to be acted well. They only care about the people going to pay to see Beyonce sing in a movie, again. "Dreamgirls" was good and Beyonce wasn't terrible, but for every "Dreamgirls" there is two "Obsessed" and when is saw they shitacular piece of filth and how badly Beyonce acted i was certain that people were done with her stiff delivery of her lines and her terribly over acted "dramatic scenes" and now they are going to shit on the legacy of great Oscar winning films with this piece of shit. I Refuse to let this happen. What can i do to get this movie stop.
