The Oscar's where this Sunday and for the most part i got my prediction right. I missed on a few categories, but other than that i was pretty accurate on whom would win what. Here are the winners:

The only categories i got wrong were Best Art Direction and Cinematography for which i chose The Hurt Locker when Avatar actually won and Best Foreign Language Film For which i picked The White Ribbon from Germany over the winning The Secret In Their Eyes(El Secreto da Sus Ojos) from Argentina. So thats it for the awards show season and it will pick back up with the Emmy's this fall.
Here are all of my choices to whom i think will win the awards tonight at the Oscars tonight.

Tonight are the Oscars so be sure to watch to see who will win big.
Tomorrow night, Sunday March 7th, the Academy Awards will air and all of Hollywood would be out in their Sunday's Best to receive awards for the great work they put out and I will be watch like alot of people in the world. I have made my choices to whom i think will win, but we can still talk about the nominees. Today to discuss the Best Picture nominees and they are:
Avatar The Blind Side District 9 An Education The Hurt Locker Inglourious Basterds Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire A Serious Man Up Up in the Air
This is the First time since 1943 that the Academy Awards has had 10 nominees. All the movies in this race are deserving of the nominations they received. The clear front runners for the awards are Avatar and The Hurt Locker. It has been a foot race between the 2 movies over the awards show season. Avatar won the Golden Globe for Best Picture and The Hurt Locker won the BAFTA and Critics Choice Award for Best Picture. I think it's going to go to The Hurt Locker, but Avatar is the highest grossing movie of all time and the academy voters might take that in to consideration. I don't think the controversy surrounding The Hurt Locker will hurt its chances, but it can. The other nominees in the category that have a chance to sneak up and take the big prize are Up in the Air, Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire and Inglourious Basterds. These movies all have the chance to win because they have won big Best Picture awards in other award shows. The only movie that I don't think should have been nominated was A Serious Man whom i serious think stole the nomination from The Hangover which is and was one of the best comedy movies ever made and one of the best movies of last year. So who will win, I think it will be The Hurt Locker as it should be too.
Who Should Win:The Hurt Locker Who Will Win:The Hurt Locker
The very first time I had ever seen her acting was in "She-Devil" with Roseanne Barr. I had an instant admiration for her skill and I wanted to see more. Over the years I have seen her be a nun, a white water rafter, a fashion Goddess, a Holocaust survivor, a music teacher, an icon chef, an ant queen and the blue fairy. Her skill is so on point and when people say that she is the best living actor around, I simply have to nod my head and agree. Over her career she has garnered a record 16 Academy Award nominations; 2 of which she has won, 13 BAFTA nominations with 1 win, 25 Golden Globe nominations; 7 of which she won, 2 wins out of 3 Emmy nominations, 4 Grammy nominations, 11 Screen Actors Guild nominations with 2 wins and 1 Tony nomination. She has inspired a slew of young actors and actresses to do the best work possible and to strive to be as good as she is. She is a true icon in the acting world and a gift to everyone she has blessed with her work.
This Sunday the Oscars will be on and I will be watching to make sure that my choices have won. So today we will be discussing the Best Actress nominess and they are:
Sandra Bullock – The Blind Side as Leigh Anne Tuohy Helen Mirren – The Last Station as Sofya Tolstoy Carey Mulligan – An Education as Jenny Miller Gabourey Sidibe – Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire as Claireece "Precious" Jones Meryl Streep – Julie & Julia as Julia Child
This years Best Actress race is going to be between two vets in the business, Meryl Streep in Julie & Julia & Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side. Meryl is breaking records with this nomination bringing her total to 16 in her career whereas Sandra has been in this business for nearly 2 decades and this is the first time she has even been considered for a nomination, let alone getting one. But who will win? My money will go on Sandra, because not only was she good the Oscar voters do like seeing a story of Hollywood redemption. If either her or Meryl do not win then it will be Gabourey Sidibe for Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire because she is a first time actress and the academy does like to honor the first timers alot and her performance wasn't half bad at all.
Who Should Win: Sandra Bullock – The Blind Side Who Will Win: Sandra Bullock – The Blind Side
The Oscars are this Sunday the 7th and as we countdown we are making our predictions to whom will win big. Today we talk about the Best Actor category. The nominees are:
Jeff Bridges – Crazy Heart as Bad Blake George Clooney – Up in the Air as Ryan Bingham Colin Firth – A Single Man as George Falconer Morgan Freeman – Invictus as Nelson Mandela Jeremy Renner – The Hurt Locker as Sgt. William James
This is a category with such a diverse group of characters that it's hard to choose. The clear winner is Jeff Bridges for Crazy Heart, but my heart says that it should be George Clooney for Up in the Air although i really enjoyed Jeremy Renner in The Hurt Locker. All these actors deserve their nominations (Morgan Freeman and Colin Firth are just seat fillers in the category), but only one can win and it will be Jeff Bridges.
Who Should Win: George Clooney – Up in the Air as Ryan Bingham Who Will Win: Jeff Bridges – Crazy Heart as Bad Blake
The Oscars are this Sunday and the stars are all prepping for the big night and so am I. Today we talk about the Best Supporting Actress nominations and whom we think will win. My choices have been made, but here is a reminder of the nominees:
Penélope Cruz – Nine as Carla Albanese Vera Farmiga – Up in the Air as Alex Goran Maggie Gyllenhaal – Crazy Heart as Jean Craddock Anna Kendrick – Up in the Air as Natalie Keener Mo'Nique – Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire as Mary Lee Johnston
The Best Supporting Actress Category is as easy to predict as the Supporting Actor choices. Mo'Nique is the only choice to win. Her performance in Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire was so strong that her fellow nominees really don't have a chance. The only other performance that can out beat hers is Anna Kendrick in Up in the Air, other than that Mo'Nique is on her way to Oscar gold.
Who Should Win: Mo'Nique – Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire as Mary Lee Johnston Who Will Win: Mo'Nique – Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire as Mary Lee Johnston
The Oscars are this Sunday and I have already had a chance to make up my mind about who I think will win the big awards. Today we discuss the Best Supporting Actor category to see what the odds are of who will win. The nominees are:
Matt Damon – Invictus as François Pienaar Woody Harrelson – The Messenger as Capt. Tony Stone Christopher Plummer – The Last Station as Leo Tolstoy Stanley Tucci – The Lovely Bones as George Harvey Christoph Waltz – Inglourious Basterds as Col. Hans Landa
The clear and favorite to win and my choice to win is Christoph Waltz for Inglorious Bastards. He was so good as a devil that could charm and talk you into giving him exactly what he needs. The only reason i don't think he'll win is if the voters don't want to hear another one of his odd acceptance speeches about the fate of Quentin Tarantino discovery him and allowing him to be a vessel of his genius and how the gods have lined up to give him such an blah, blah, blah, blah, he just babbles on and it's odd. The only real chance in him losing is if Stanley Tucci surprised us and won in an upset for The Lovely Bones. So thats my Choice. Who Should Win: Christoph Waltz – Inglourious Basterds as Col. Hans Landa Who Will Win: Christoph Waltz – Inglourious Basterds as Col. Hans Landa
The BAFTAS were held tonight and for the most part it is still the same winners that every awards ceremony this year has has. The only surprises were Carey Mulligan(An Education)beat out Front Runner Meryl Streep (Sandra Bullock wasn't nominated) and Colin Firth( A Single Man) beat favorite for the Oscar Jeff Bridges. Another surprise was Kristen Stewart beating Carey Mulligan for The Orange Rising Star Award. Here is the complete list of winners: Best Film: The Hurt Locker Leading Actor: Colin Firth, A Single Man Leading Actress: Carey Mulligan, An Education Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz, Inglourious Basterds Supporting Actress: Mo’Nique, Precious Director: Kathryn Bigelow, The Hurt Locker Original Screenplay: Mark Boal, The Hurt Locker Adapted Screenplay: Jason Reitman & Sheldon Turner, Up In the Air Film Not in the English Language: A Prophet (France) Animated Film: Up Outstanding British Film: Fish Tank Outstanding Debut By a British Writer, Director or Producer: Duncan Jones, Moon Music: Michael Giacchino, Up Cinematography: The Hurt Locker Editing: The Hurt Locker Production Design: Avatar Costume Design: The Young Victoria Sound: The Hurt Locker Special Visual Effects: Avatar Makeup & Hair: The Young Victoria Short Animation: Mother of Many The Orange Rising Star Award: Kristen Stewart Academy Fellowship: Vanessa Redgrave
Now I'm not particularly a fan of the new "hard" Rihanna, i just think she's doing a bit too much to be considered edgy when she did it so will pre-beatdown, not she a bit of a overly couture mess. Her newest CD for me is a lack luster and bland album, but i do like this song. It's poppy and it as a hard sexual tone that gives it the edge it needs without announcing it to the world in a overly produced Young Jeezy endorsed wackfest. Plus for me to like a video to a song i like so much is a definite good sign. here's the video. i hope you enjoy
A true comedy rebel Caryn Elaine Johnson redefined the role of a black Comedian and Actress with the unforgettable and iconic stage name Whoopi Goldberg. Not only a great comedian, but a exceptionally great dramatic actress winning an Academy Award, BAFTA Award, 7 NAACP Image Awards, 2 Daytime Emmy awards, 3 People's Choice awards and 2 Golden Globe awards for her acting range. In 1999, she received the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation Vanguard Award for her continued work in supporting the gay and lesbian community. In 2001, she won the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the Kennedy Center. She has also won a Tony and Grammy award and has appeared in over 150 films in the 1990's. Whoopi was the highest-paid actress of all time. Goldberg has also been an advocate for human rights worldwide, moderating a panel at the Alliance of Youth Movements Summit on how social networks can be used to fight violent extremism in 2008 and also moderating a panel at the UN in 2009 on human rights, children and armed conflict, terrorism, human rights and reconciliation. and and true American Treasure that should be honored as a maverick that is still today refusing to bow to any ones standards and showing you a way to live as you are and be happy with whom you are 100% of the time. She is a true inspiration and living legend.
Alexander McQueen was an English fashion designer known for his unconventional designs and shock tactics. McQueen's dramatic designs, worn by celebrities including Rihanna, Björk and Lady Gaga, met with critical acclaim and earned him the British Designer of the Year award four times. McQueen's early runway collections developed his reputation for controversy and shock tactics (earning the title "l'enfant terrible" and "the hooligan of English fashion"),with trousers aptly named "bumsters" and a collection entitled "Highland Rape".[1][14][15] McQueen was known for his lavish, unconventional, runway shows, such as a recreation of a shipwreck for his spring 2003 collection, spring 2005's human chess game and his fall 2006 show, "Widows of Culloden" which featured a life-sized hologram of supermodel Kate Moss dressed in yards of rippling fabric. McQueen has been credited with bringing drama and extravagance to the catwalk He used new technology and innovation to add a different twist to his shows and often shocked and surprised audiences. The silhouettes that he created have been credited for adding a sense of fantasy and rebellion to fashion. McQueen became one of the first designers to use Indian models in London.ome of McQueen's accomplishments included being one of the youngest designers to achieve the title "British Designer of the Year", which he won four times between 1996 and 2003. He was also awarded the CBE and named International Designer of the Year at the Council of Fashion Designer Awards. December 2000 saw a new partnership for McQueen, with the Gucci Group acquiring 51% of his company and McQueen serving as Creative Director. Plans for expansion included the opening of stores in London, Milan and New York, and the launch of his perfumes Kingdom and, most recently, My Queen. In 2005 McQueen collaborated with Puma to create a special line of trainers for the shoe brand. McQueen became the first designer to participate in MAC's promotion of cosmetic releases created by fashion designers. The collection, McQueen, was released on 11 October 2007 and reflected the looks used on the Autumn/Winter McQueen catwalk. The inspiration for the collection was the Elizabeth Taylor movie Cleopatra, and thus the models sported intense blue, green, and teal eyes with strong black liner extended Egyptian-style. McQueen handpicked the makeup.
McQueen's death was announced on the afternoon of 11 February 2010. He was found dead that morning by his housekeeper at his home on Green Street, London W1. Paramedics were called; they pronounced him dead at the scene.
Here are some of his best works and some of the people seen in is magnificently extravagant designs
I am so living for 3 music videos right now. First the is Jay-Z's "On To The Next One" which is just hot to me. It's not your typical hip-hop video and the images within the video is a swag that I'm just drawn to. Second is Robin Thicke's "Sex Therapy" which is the sexiest song out right now and the video doesn't fall flat to the song. Third is Usher's "Hey Daddy (Daddy's Home)" which is an effortlessly cool video with a story and dancing and a great song and here they are to watch. enjoy
I am so utterly disgusted in the shear audacity that is Beyonce's Ego. Okay music is her thing, i get that, but i really wish she'd stop acting. Everything she has been in should be a movie producers reason for not casting her, but they don't care if the movie is going to be acted well. They only care about the people going to pay to see Beyonce sing in a movie, again. "Dreamgirls" was good and Beyonce wasn't terrible, but for every "Dreamgirls" there is two "Obsessed" and when is saw they shitacular piece of filth and how badly Beyonce acted i was certain that people were done with her stiff delivery of her lines and her terribly over acted "dramatic scenes" and now they are going to shit on the legacy of great Oscar winning films with this piece of shit. I Refuse to let this happen. What can i do to get this movie stop.
The Grammys were just this Sunday and for the most part the show was good. Beyonce won 6 awards and her performance was OK. Taylor Swift won the big award of the night, Best Album, and Lady Gaga won 2 awards. the best part of the evening was by far Pink's trapeze performance to the song "Glitter in the Air". It was magnificent and she has proven herself as one of the most important performer of this time. Here is a partial list of the winners, because the actual list is way too long, so i will post only the important ones. OH YEAH, here is a video of Pink's performance.
